The
Library Dora Gabe is the biggest library in the region of Dobrich. For 55 years the library has been one of the important
intellectual centres of the district, archive of the regional editions and
centre of reference-bibliographic and information activity and of the
bibliography for the region. It is a public library. The library is a
regional co-ordination centre in library services. With its multiple
functions it has become the main scientific-information and educational
centre of the region.
At the end of the 20 century and on the
brink of the new millennium the mission of the library is defined by the
motto “ The erudition is freedom”.
